Coffee & Conservation

Documenting the World Land Trust’s growing network of rainforest reserves, in partnership with Puro Coffee.

The UK charity has bought and protected 12858  acres of rainforest in 6 Latin American countries, all with funds from coffee sales. We spent two months travelling to these remote regions and filming with the communities who are helping to protect them.

We shot a series of films documenting each reserve, every country has it’s own tale to tell. From discovering new species in Ecuador, to protecting endangered animals in Colombia, and working with remote Andean communities in Peru to protect their harmonious way of life.

All the reserves are in isolated locations, filming involved travelling over-land for days in pick-up trucks and hiking through mountainous terrain and dense jungle. We camped on location with local rangers and captured some rare and special moments.
